Far from any path, a large pair of granite doors broods silently in the oppressive, foggy woodland. Beyond the doors lies a small, shadowy room covered in thick, gnarled roots and broken stone. The flickering orange light of your torch allows you to see a motionless sacrificial chamber, decayed and maimed by unspeakable passage of time.

Further ahead are two nearly identical paths, but the right becomes a dead end. The twisted trail of the left path leads past countless damaged, vaguely human statues and into a dusty room. There is a pile of skeletons in the center, all burned and black, within a circle of red, burning embers. What happened in this place?

Advancing cautiously onward, you eventually arrive at another enormous granite door. Dire warnings and foul messages are carved onto the entryway, nearly covering it. The symbols faintly glow, and the door has a polished shine somehow untouched by the ages. You step closer to inspect it and... wait... what was that sound?
